The city of Parole is burning. Like Venice slips into the sea, Parole crumbles into fire, its entire population quarantined and left to die, directly over the open flame. Regan, stealth expert with a lizard’s skin, will do anything to escape. The ghostly Hans offers one: it just takes a little murder. Sonic superheroine Evelyn has a mission: keep everyone alive, don’t look down, and don’t give up. If they do, they’ll all burn. Parole’s a rough place to live, but they’re not dead yet. If they can survive the imminent cataclysmic disaster, they might just stay that way…

You might notice CM, 2nd Edition is missing one important thing. A cover. That’s because until the end of September (final day October 1st!), I’m running a cover art contest. I am an artist, and I probably could do this myself (I drew Runtime’s cover!) but… I’d rather open it up and let everybody play. You’ve been amazing to me all this time.
(And I really believe it’ll get a cover. An incredible one. I have to admit, it is a little bit scary, not having a definite cover and putting my book up for pre-order, it is. But I also believe in trust, and the love and amazing community that I’ve seen and been a part of here over the years. I believe everything is going to be okay. If I tell you that, I have to believe it for myself. <3)

Just… wow. I am so excited. I had a lot of fun the first time – but now that I got a chance to relaunch my series? (Watch out for Book 2 in December…) Wow. This time I’m just gonna do everything… better. One of the main protags? Always asexual, but now he’s ace on-page, like his author. (Uh, in real life.) Another important char? Zilch was always NB, but now with the intended they/them pronouns. And there was much rejoicing.
Since getting my rights back, the ride has been wild, the push has been extreme, and I’m tired – but super happy. This is gonna be good, I can feel it. ❤ Thank you so much for being here.
